This is the all new Skid Marx Pinewood Derby car. The Skid Marx boasts a low profile Slider body by Lester Racing laser cut from the Official BSA Pinewood Derby Block. The included tungsten cylinders and pre drilled weight holes allow you to adjust the center of gravity to as low as ¾″ for a lightening fast ride. This is a standard BSA wheelbase car that will be legal for almost all scout derbies. The body is available with your choice of either precision drilled axle holes or standard axle slots. We′re talking wicked fast here.

The Derby Monkey Xtreme Speed kits are engineered with only one thing in mind… sheer speed. The body design, weight placement, center of mass, alignment and aerodynamics are all optimized for top performance. These kits come with tungsten weights, polished axles and machined wheels of your choice.
Building super-low profile bodies is a trademark of the Derby Monkey Garage. All of the derby cars we build for competition are only ¼″ thick. This thin body creates an extremely aerodynamic car and it allows us to place the majority of the car’s weight exactly where we need it in order to optimize the placement of the center of gravity. This means more speed. Our cars consistently finish in first place at our district derbies.
The graphics are custom made decals. I design the decals with a simple photo editor. I use Microsft PictureIt because it is so user friendly and simple to use. Adobe Photoshop would probably be better but I need it to be fast and simple.
I use photos and clip art… then edit them into a decal of the perfect shape and size of whatever car I’m building.
I then print them on decal paper with my color laser printer. It creates the waterslide type decals that are very easy to apply. I then finish the car with several coats of clear.
The Skid Marx bodies and kits are available at Derby Monkey Garage. The super cool decals are included with the kits. Check out the kit HERE and the body HERE
