This may be the fastest Pinewood Derby car ever… However, it would not be illegal for most races because it is powered.

This is an  electric motor powered, direct-drive car designed for an Outlaw division.  A front-wheel drive to improve stability, high gear ration, and a computer-generated streamline body. 

A special catcher was built to stop the car without damage at the end of the track.

On 49ft. BestTrack, times were around 1.66 seconds which is wicked fast.
